SU Qld is seeking an IT Support Officer based in our Fortitude Valley head office.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Officer is responsible for being the first point of contact for the IT Department via the IT Help Desk. This role is also responsible for on-site support in conjunction with the Technical Officers.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Being the first point of contact for staff and external customers;
• Providing support by phone, email or by remote connection;
• Prioritising and troubleshooting;
• Life cycle management of all service requests;
• Keeping customers informed of progress and advising on workarounds where necessary;
• Managing user access to systems and associated security;
• Managing email accounts, addresses and distributions;
• Documenting all problems and solutions;
• General and specific user training;
• Overseeing the setup, maintenance, deployment and asset management of IT equipment;
• Managing the licensing, usage and installation of Software and rolling out latest SOE as required.
The successful candidate will have:
• 2 years IT experience;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Ability to work well in a team environment;
• Sound knowledge of technology;
• Ability to quickly learn and understand software products;
• Ability to instruct, train and equip people;
• Experience with Microsoft Products (Desktop OS, Office, Server).
