Support the work
Help us raise $570,000 to provide our new school chaplains with all the tools they need — including training, guidance and crucial support staff.
* The qualification must include the identified mental health AND referrals units: CHCCS422A - Respond holistically to client issues and refer appropriately; and CHCMH301B - Work effectively in mental health. SU QLD staff can advise regarding completion of one or both of these units via third party training providers.
** SU QLD's minimum standard for training School Chaplains is the nationally-accredited Diploma of Youth Work, or equivalent or higher qualification. While the qualification is labelled "Youth Work", it is designed to address the training needs of School Chaplains working in both primary and secondary schools. Successful applicants will be required to attain this qualification during service if not already qualified.
