Secondary School Work

A network of Christian teachers, school students and volunteers from local churches stretches across Queensland to help introduce Year 8 to 12 students to Jesus.

Working alongside these volunteers are SU Qld staffworkers and chaplains, whose role it is to equip, support and encourage ministry in schools through services including:

Camping
SU Queensland runs 45 camps aimed at secondary school students each year, from Cape York Peninsula down to Coolangatta.

Prayer Groups for Schools
Concerned parents, teachers and volunteers meet each week across the State to pray for their schools through this network of prayer groups.

School-based missions:
Each holiday period, SU Qld runs school-based missions to provide holidaying students with a fun-filled week of activities, challenges, positive role models and the opportunity to find out more about God.
