Encouragement from the Scriptures – Having a strong faith

Posted in SU QLD

He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. – Jeremiah 17:8

Our church recently had 3 chaplains visit and share their stories, which included times of encouragement and celebration, but also times of challenge and tears.

They shared with us about seasons of plenty and of drought. Your hope for every season is the same.  Jeremiah 17:8 reminds us of the importance of strong deep rooted faith. For us as followers of Jesus if we want to be able to survive and thrive in every season of life we need to ensure our roots are planted deeply in God and His Word, so we can reach those streams of living water.

So what are your roots like? How will you respond when trouble comes? Trust in God and his Word, soaking in Him daily that you might produce fruit and thrive in every situation.
