Meet Sarah and Grant.
They spend a lot of their time running after their four lively sons aged 8, 5, 4 and 1, and they also run their own small business.
But that’s not all.
They’re also… SUper Heroes.
These special heroes are passionate about making sure children and young people have every opportunity to be cared for. And they do this through a regular, monthly gift to SU QLD. For them, bringing hope to young people is a cause worth fighting for.
“It’s very important as you grow up, to have someone to talk to,” Grants says. “Young people are mouldable and can sway either way. If they don’t have someone to talk to, and share their problems with, life can be very difficult for them. It’s vital kids get that help, and that’s why it’s worth supporting,” he says.
For Sarah, stories of transformation show that joining the fight does make a difference. “It’s amazing when you hear about kids who were the bully or were being bullied, who were cared for by their chaplain, and now they’re a school captain. You can really see the tangible difference that can be made in young people’s lives,” she says.
Grant and Sarah give monthly because they want to honour God first with everything they earn through their business. “We want to give back part of what we earn each month,” Sarah says. “And through our gift, we can directly impact kids in our own community. It feels like we’re investing into the future of our own neighbourhood.”
You can become a SUper Hero today by committing to a monthly gift to SU QLD.
It’s not about putting on Lycra, or wearing a mask. It’s a commitment to regularly investing in the lives of children and young people.
Consistent donations made by SUper Heroes provide a solid foundation, so SU QLD can confidently continue current work and programs, and also plan BIG for the years ahead.
Many small gifts make a big difference for children and young people.
