Become a school chaplain

If you love working with children and young people, and being an integral part of a local community, this is the role for you.

School chaplains work in the areas of early intervention and prevention, and promote positive behaviours by providing social, emotional, spiritual, and practical support for students.  School chaplains help children and young people find a positive way to deal with issues ranging from family breakdown and bullying, to friendship and peer complications.

Become a volunteer

Whatever your gifting, volunteers are a crucial part of the mission of SU QLD!

Join more than 4000 volunteers working in ministry every year. You could help run SU QLD camping programs in your local area, help your local chappies make breakfast for kids, or call our donors to pray for them.

Schools

SU QLD school chaplaincy is committed to promoting the social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of students through role modelling, mentoring, pastoral care, and structured programs.

These dimensions of care enhance a school’s overall wellbeing strategy and contribute to the achievement of educational goals. As research shows, well supported students are more engaged in their studies and do better at school.
