Volunteer opportunities
SU QLD has more than 4000 volunteers working in ministry every year. Some volunteers help run our camping programs in their local area, some help their local chappies make breakfast for kids, while others call SU QLD donors to pray for them.
Whatever their gifting, volunteers are a crucial part of the mission of SU QLD!
Camping and community outreach
SU QLD Camps are run by dedicated and passionate Christian volunteers who have a heart for young people. Our volunteers are involved in various capacities, including:
- Camp leaders,
- Camp directors,
- Camp cooks,
- Camp administrators,
- Activities directors,
- Bus drivers, and
- Boat drivers

Local Chaplaincy Committee (LCC)
Be a part of a service that brings hope to young people and supports your school community.
School chaplaincy is a three-way partnership between the local school (representing the Department of Education), the LCC (representing the local community), and SU QLD (the local employing authority).
There are a number of roles on an LCC and members help with finances, communication, running activities, events, and fundraising.
